Uzbekistan manufactures construction materials for 1.36 trln. soums in Jan-May

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Enterprises of construction materials industry of Uzbekistan manufactured goods for 1.36 trillion soums in January-May 2013. The growth rate made up 7.5% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

Large industrials of Uzbekistan increased production of such products as soft roofing materials (+3 times), concrete (2.7 times), dry construction mixtures (+48.1%), ceramic tiles for interior wall facing (+47.5%), enriched kaolin (+46.4%) and asphalt concrete (+30%).

At the same time, Uzbekistan increased production of sandwich panels (+30.3%), gypsum (+26%), asbestos cement lists (+12.6%), acid-resistant and refractory bricks (+9.1%), pre-cast concrete structures and components (+7.5%), and cement (+2.1%)

The country also increased production of gravel (3.1 times), gypsum stones (+54.3%) and limestone (+33%).
