Uzbekistan produced 122,615 vehicles in January-June 2013, which rose by 11.3% year-on-year. Production of lorries grew by 72.2%, specialized vehicles – 30.8% and automobiles (without specialized) – 10.7%.
The country also increased production of automobile engines by 108.3 times and batteries by 4.1%, the committee said.
The enterprises of the industry increased production of tractor trailers by 2.9 times, tractors – 2.1 times, harrows – 1.9 times, grain harvesters – 44.9% and mowers – 13.6%.
Production of bare contact wires (trolley) - 2.4 times, city telephone cables - 2.1 times, signal cables - 1.9 times, wire hose - 35.4%, domestic wires - 17.5%, and adjusting wires - by 16.3% also increased.
Uzbekistan also increased production of energy saving lamps by 39.9%, and TV-sets by 36.5% in the reporting period.
