Uzbekistan lost to Iran in the FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifiers in Tashkent.
The match ended with the score 1-0 in favour of Iran. Hosseini scored the only goal of the match on 27 minutes of the game.
Uzbekistan lost for the first time in this stage of the qualification round. Uzbekistan has six points after three matches and holds the 3rd place in the group.
Uzbekistan will face China in Tashkent on 11 October, while Iran will entertain South Korea.
