Uzbekistan leads on CDM project implementation in CIS

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan is a leader among the CIS states in realization of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Designated National Authority for CDM said citing data of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

According to data, UNFCCC registered seven CDM projects of Uzbekistan, which is largest number among the CIS countries.

Uzbekistan also leads on expected average annual volume of Certified Emission Reductions (CER) on the registered projects. Average annual CER on seven projects comprised 111,053,386 tonnes of CO2-equivalent a year.
