Uzbekistan, Latvia to cooperate in emergency situations

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbek President Islam Karimov approved intergovernmental agreement between Uzbekistan and Latvia on cooperation in prevention and liquidation of emergency situations.
The document was signed in Tashkent on 6 October 2008 during the state visit of Latvian President Valdis Zatlers to Uzbekistan.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan was entrusted to inform Latvian side that Uzbekistan carried out all internal procedures to ensure that the agreement came into force.
