The Event was held at the London O2 Area Soccer Dome (former the David Beckham academy) with Kurash teams from all over the world including Great Britain, France, Kazahstan, Nigeria and Lithuania.

The Uzbekistan team won 5 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 1 bronze medal. Umid Yakubov, General Secretary of the International Kurash Association, explained that the tournament was not just a competition but an exchange of experiences and communication between young and veteran Kurash Sportspeople and an opportunity to mentor competitors. Uzbekistan has participated in the tournament since it began in London in 2000 and Umid Yakubov notes that Great Britain has emerged as strong competitors.

Bakhodir, who won gold in the Under 81KG category, said: “I enjoyed my trip to London very much. I saw the London Olympic facilities and met lots of people from all over the world. There is big interest in Kurash in London and hopefully one day Kurash will be an Olympic sport. I will be following the Judo in the London Olympics”.
