Uzbekistan started the match brightly and created several chances to score a goal. But on 30 minutes Musab Al Laham opened the score after mistake in defense of Uzbekistan.
However, after five minutes Uzbekistan skipper Server Djeparov scored an equalizer. Jasur Khasanov crossed the ball from the left and Djeperov made no mistake.
Uzbekistan continued to attack till the end of the first half and created several chances, but the team failed to convert them into goals.
In the second half, Kasimov’s side changed tactics and started to play in counter-attacks. Both sides created chances to score, but the match ended with the score 1-1.
The second leg of the match between Uzbekistan and Jordan will be held in Tashkent on 10 September.
