Uzbekistan, Israel discuss practical aspects of further development of cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On January 18, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Dilshod Akhatov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Republic of Uzbekistan Eduard Shapira.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the sides exchanged views on current issues on the bilateral agenda, noting the dynamic nature of Uzbekistan – Israel relations in 2018.

At the meeting, practical aspects of further development of cooperation in 2019 in political, trade-economic, investment, innovation, scientific-educational, medical and other fields were discussed. Mutual readiness to increase interaction in all areas of mutual interest was emphasized.

Proposals on timing of the fifth round of inter-MFA political consultations, the first meeting of Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Investment, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, a business forum and other joint events were also considered.
