Uzbekistan-Israel: an agreement was signed on strengthening bilateral relations in the field of tourism

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 May in Tashkent, at the Hilton Tashkent City Hotel, an Agreement was signed to strengthen bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Israil. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov and Minister of Tourism of the State of Israel Yoel Razvozov signed the document.

The document envisages an increase in the mutual tourist flow between the two countries, an increase in flights and strengthening partnerships between representatives of the tourism business, the exchange of airtime, the organization of exhibitions of famous artists of the two countries, the development of cooperation between the Silk Road International Tourism University in Samarkand and partner educational institutions in Israel.

After the signing ceremony, the ministers of tourism of Uzbekistan and Israel answered questions from journalists. Yoel Razvozov noted that Uzbekistan is a country with a rich history and cultural heritage, and noted the growing desire of Israelis to travel to our country. The guest also highlighted the ongoing reforms and creative work in Uzbekistan.

According to Yoel Razvozov, the signing of the Agreement will bring cooperation between Uzbekistan and Israel in the field of tourism to a new level and significantly increase the mutual flow of tourists. 

It should be noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State of Israel. In this regard, at the initiative of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, as well as the efforts of the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Israel Khay Davidov, from June 14 to 21, concert programs of the Uzbek singer Bahrom Nazarov . The cultural program will also demonstrate the tourism potential of the country.

For reference, Khai Davidov is one of the active promoters of tourism in Uzbekistan. He visits Uzbekistan several times a year, demonstrating the tourism potential of historical cities in Israel through videos. In addition, for the convenience of tourists from Israel, a kosher standard has been introduced in the country.

On 17 May, the ministers of Uzbekistan and Israel took part in the international exhibition “Tashkent Travel Mart 2022”, which was held in Tashkent. During the event, the ministers talked with representatives of the tourism business and the media.
