Uzbekistan, India discuss bilateral dialogue in Delhi
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Delegations of Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and India held next round of political consultations in Delhi on 29 November 2012.

The sides discussed implementation of bilateral documents, signed within the state visit of the Uzbek President Islam Karimov in May 2011.

The sides considered current state and perspectives of further development of Uzbek-Indian dialogue in political, economic and investment sectors, as well as in education, healthcare, human development, science and technology, tourism and culture.

Indian side affirmed interest in building relations with Uzbekistan on long-term and mutual beneficial bases in all directions of mutual interest.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinion on actual regional and international issues. Uzbekistan and India noted that the sides are cooperating fruitfully within the UN and other organizations.

The sides also considered issues of trade-economic cooperation. They underlined mutual interest in new joint investment projects in such areas as IT and telecommunication, pharmaceuticals, textile, light and chemistry sectors, where Indian side has advanced technological potential.
