Uzbekistan Increases Watermelon Exports by 67.7%
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan exported 130.6 thousand tonnes of watermelons worth US$29.9 million in January–June 2025.
The export volume grew by 52.7 thousand tonnes compared to the same period last year, marking a 67.7 percent increase.
The largest shipments of Uzbek watermelons were sent to Russia (66 thousand tonnes), Kazakhstan (44 thousand tonnes), and the Kyrgyz Republic (19 thousand tonnes).
Exports also reached Belarus (968 tonnes), Mongolia (618 tonnes), Latvia (76 tonnes), Georgia (66 tonnes), Poland (61 tonnes), and other countries (121 tonnes).
