Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Between January and May 2025, Uzbekistan imported 1,562,200 mobile phones worth a total of US$159 million, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.

Compared to the same period last year, import volume rose by 37,800 units, marking an increase of 2.5 percent.

The largest volumes of mobile phones during the reporting period came from China, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates, and India.

Specifically, 1,193,900 devices were imported from China, 304,500 from Vietnam, 47,300 from the UAE, and 15,600 from India.

A small number of phones — around 900 units — were imported from other countries.
