Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 August 2025, one of the brightest and most significant cultural events of the year took place at the “Bunyodkor” stadium in Tashkent — a concert by Jennifer Lopez as part of her world tour Up All Night — LIVE IN 2025. The event was organized by the Art and Culture Development Foundation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

This marked the country’s first-ever performance by a world-class AAA-category artist and was the largest concert by the singer in Asia within the framework of the current tour. The event attracted broad international attention, reinforcing Uzbekistan’s position as a new venue for large-scale global cultural events.

Strong Interest from Foreign Tourists

According to the organizers, 67% of tickets were purchased by foreign visitors. Among them were nearly 9,000 spectators from the Russian Federation, over 2,500 tourists from Kazakhstan, as well as attendees from European countries. In total, the concert was attended by more than 15,000 international guests, most of whom stayed in Uzbekistan for four to six days, opting for premium segment tourist packages.

Comprehensive Security Measures

To ensure order and safety at the venue and surrounding areas, a range of modern solutions was employed:

aerial monitoring using drones;

patrol units equipped with modern vehicles on duty;

eight ambulance teams on standby;

entry control utilizing facial recognition cameras (Face ID) and integrated detectors;

enhanced screening for prohibited items;

prevention of unauthorized entry and use of counterfeit tickets;

participation of 3,686 law enforcement officers and 300 volunteers;

coordination of security forces under the supervision of the Security Council, State Security Service, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Emergency Situations, and National Guard.

Infrastructure and Guest Comfort

In preparation for the concert, works were carried out to improve and organize service infrastructure:

repair and landscaping of access roads to the stadium;

deployment of 500 staff responsible for cleanliness (200 inside the stadium, 300 in the adjacent territory);

installation of 200 large-capacity waste containers and 40 containers with a capacity of 1 ton each;

organization of 13 food courts under sanitary and epidemiological service supervision;

launch of shuttle buses from the Hyatt hotel, Humo Arena complex, and Tashkent City (five buses from each point);

reduction of the metro train interval to 2 minutes;

distribution of information through media and online platforms about entrance schemes, service zone locations, and shuttle routes.

Contribution to the Development of the Creative Economy

Jennifer Lopez’s concert represented a significant step in promoting Uzbekistan as a modern center of international culture and art.

Projects like this stimulate the development of creative industries, boost inbound tourism, create new jobs, and strengthen the country’s international image.

The Art and Culture Development Foundation will continue to implement initiatives aimed at attracting world-renowned artists and organizing cultural events of the highest level, facilitating Uzbekistan’s integration into the global cultural space.
