According to organizers, interested people can participate in discussion of the project “Reduction of natural gas leakage at distribution networks of low and medium pressure in Bukhara and Navoi regions”, which is implemented within CDM and directed at decreasing methane emission to atmosphere.
According to project data, published at DNA of Uzbekistan, the project implementation will decrease greenhouse gas emission at the volume of 0.643 million tonnes of CO2-equivalent a year.
The project implementation will help rational use of fuel-energy resources in Uzbekistan, increase energy efficiency due to introduction of new technologies and receive additional income from sales of Certified Emission Reductions (CERs).
Currently, the UNFCC registered the eighth CDM project of Uzbekistan with total planned emission reductions of 2,126 million tonnes of CO2-equivallent a year.
