Uzbekistan, Great Britain discuss ties in Tashkent

Colin Roberts, Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Directorate of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of Great Britain held negotiations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on 23 May 2013.
The sides discussed current state and perspectives of bilateral relations in politics, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian and other areas. They also considered interaction in security, fighting drug trafficking and transnational crime, the Uzbek ministry said.
The officials of Uzbekistan and Great Britain discussed schedule of upcoming Uzbek-British contacts at various levels.
The sides also exchanged opinion on international and regional issues.
HM Ambassador H.E. Mr George Edgar also participated at the meeting.
