Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From January to May 2024, Uzbekistan’s gold exports amounted to US$4.19 billion, which is 4.1% less than for the same period in 2023, when exports amounted to US$4.4 billion, according to data from the Statistics Agency of Uzbekistan.
The share of gold in the total exports of Uzbekistan for January-May 2024 amounted to 38.6%.
Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover during this period increased by 3.0% and amounted to US$26.7 billion. Uzbekistan’s exports increased to US$10.8 billion (+1.9%), and imports reached US$15.9 billion (+3.7%).
China remains Uzbekistan’s main trading partner with a share of 18.9% of total trade, followed by Russia (17.9%) and Kazakhstan (5.9%).
