Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the margins of the 25th UNWTO General Assembly, a bilateral meeting was held between the Chairman of the Committee on Tourism of Uzbekistan Umid Shadiev and Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Khusrav Noziri.

Within the framework of expanding cooperation, the parties discussed the development of logistical opportunities between the tourist cities of the Organization, attracting students from ECO countries to study at the International Academy of Tourism and the Silk Road International University, as well as the visit of business circles specializing in winter tourism to Uzbekistan.

At the end of the meeting Uzbekistan made a proposal on participation of representatives of tourism industry in the events dedicated to honoring Shakhrisabz as the ECO tourism capital in 2024.
