Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek Ambassador Ravshan Usmanov met with Victoria Broackes, Director of the London Design Biennale, to discuss Uzbekistan’s potential participation in the prestigious British international design biennale.
Founded in 2016, the London Design Biennale has become one of the most esteemed international events in design and art. It brings together designers and architects from around the world to showcase innovative design approaches, new technologies, and artistic creations.
During the meeting, the British side praised Uzbekistan’s recent efforts to advance its national culture, preserve and promote its material and intangible cultural heritage, and actively integrate into the global cultural arena. They also acknowledged Uzbekistan’s innovative activities and contributions to culture and art.
The discussion included Uzbekistan’s participation with a national pavilion at the 5th London Design Biennale, scheduled to take place next year at the historic Somerset House in central London.
Participation in the biennale is seen as a significant opportunity for Uzbekistan to broaden its collaboration and creative exchange with top international designers and architects.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to further explore this opportunity in collaboration with relevant Uzbek ministries and agencies.
