Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan is currently drafting a bill aimed at banning LGBT propaganda, as announced by Alisher Kadirov, leader of the "Milliy Tiklanish" party.
The politician's comments came in response to a post on the social network X by Ivanka Trump, daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump. In the post, she quoted a statement by her father, who was recently elected as U.S. President, on ending federal funding for schools teaching "unacceptable sexual content and transgender ideology."
Kadirov noted that recent developments in what he referred to as the "epicenter of the disease" are positive.
"In Uzbekistan, we are actively working on legislation that will prohibit any propaganda on this topic," Kadyrov emphasized.
