Uzbekistan denies banning imports of Turkmen farm produce

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Reports by a number of foreign media outlets saying a ban has been introduced on imports of Turkmen agricultural products to Uzbekistan due to the bad epidemiological situation in Turkmenistan, does not correspond to reality, Jahon news agency of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.

The Uzbek side did not adopt any decisions on closing the Uzbek-Turkmen state border or on restricting imports of agricultural and meat products from Turkmenistan due to some epidemiological or epizootic circumstances.
