Uzbekistan delivers humanitarian aid to Japan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Havo Yollari delivered a humanitarian aid to people of Japan, which suffered from earthquake and tsunami. The aircraft of the Uzbek airline delivered cargo to Narita Airport in Tokyo on 23 March.

Jahon news agency said that the action of Uzbekistan is directed at rendering assistance to Japanese, who suffered from earthquake and tsunami, and moral support in difficult period. This is evidence that it Uzbekistan is indifferent for sorrow and agony of friendly people of Japan.

The agency said that the Japanese side highly rated the assistance of the Uzbek Government to the victims of the natural disaster.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan published information about delivery of humanitarian aid from Uzbekistan, the agency noted.

Yosihisa Kuroda, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Uzbekistan, expressed gratitude to the Uzbek people and Uzbek President for rendered aid and assistance on behalf of the people and the government of Japan. He said that this is another evidence of friendly and partnership relations. He added that the relations between two states will expand and strengthen.

Senator and former Japanese Ambassador to Uzbekistan Kyoko Nakayama expressed gratitude to the leadership of Uzbekistan for expressed condolences. She said that Japan faced similar natural disasters line in Kobe in 1995 and the country can cope with it, but the support of Uzbekistan will remain in hearts of Japanese people.

Manager of Narita Airport Yoasuo Fukumoto said that currently Japanese people are facing difficult times. He said that large number of tents, cloths, footwear, which were sent by the Uzbek people, are very important for those, who lost shelter in the result of natural disaster in northern Japan.
