Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 July 2025, a study visit by a delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan commenced in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, focusing on Islamic finance, its regulation, and the development of a supportive ecosystem.

The event is organized with the support of the Asian Development Bank in collaboration with the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF).

The Uzbek delegation includes representatives from the Central Bank, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the State Tax Committee, and the Ministry of Justice.

The visit program covers a broad range of topics related to the development of Islamic finance, including improvements to the legal and regulatory framework, supervisory approaches, governance based on Shariah principles, taxation issues, accounting standards, supervisory policy, and liquidity management mechanisms.
