New Zealand won both dead rubbers against Uzbekistan from an all-new reverse singles line-up. Artem Sitak defeated Murad Inoyatov 6/2, 3/6, and 6/3, while Daniel King-Turner, who played in the doubles on Saturday, also needed three sets to get over Sarvar Ikramov 4/6, 6/4, 6/3.
So Uzbekistan defeated New Zealand 3-2 - a repeat of their tie a year ago, when the Kiwis also won the dead rubbers. The Uzbeks will host top seeds India on 6-8 April.
