Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan national football team advanced to the final of the CAFA Nations Cup after a commanding 4–0 victory over Kyrgyzstan.

The opening goal came in the 20th minute when midfielder Akmal Mozgovoy latched onto a long pass, broke through one-on-one with the goalkeeper, outplayed him, and slotted the ball into the bottom right corner. In the 44th minute, Kyrgyzstan defender Valery Kichin was sent off with a red card.

In the second half, Uzbekistan increased the pressure and created numerous dangerous chances. In the 66th minute, the referee awarded a penalty after a foul in the Kyrgyz penalty area, which Otabek Shukurov confidently converted.

Fifteen minutes later, forward Igor Sergeev netted the third goal, finishing a cross from Shukurov on the left flank. In stoppage time, Azizbek Turgunboev sealed the win with a fourth goal.

After three group-stage matches in Group A, both Uzbekistan and Oman finished with seven points, but Uzbekistan topped the group thanks to a superior goal difference. In Group B, held in Tajikistan, Iran took first place with seven points. India and Tajikistan both collected four points, with India securing second place on goal difference.

The final match of the tournament will take place on September 8 in Tashkent, featuring Uzbekistan and Iran. The third-place playoff between Oman and India will be held in Dushanbe.
