Uzbekistan defeats Afghanistan in AFC U-16 Championship 2010 qualifier

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan defeated Afghanistan with the score 4-0 in Group A qualifying action of the AFC U-16 Championship 2010 on Friday, 23 October 2009.

Forward Timur Khakimov scored double at the match, while Javlon Mirabdullaev and Hayrullojon Jakbarov netted one goal each.

After the win, Uzbekistan occupies the first place with nine points in the same number of games. Uzbekistan, who almost ensured its place in final stage of AFC U-16 Championship 2010, will face Saudi Arabia on 27 October.
