Uzbekistan considers measures on developing e-government
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Republican commission on coordination of implementation of the complex programme on development of national information-communication systems of Uzbekistan for 2013-2020 held a session on 9 July 2013.

The session was attended by officials of the ministries, departments, local administrations and others, the State Committee for Communication, Information and Telecommunication Technologies of Uzbekistan said.

The commission was founded to discuss and adopt decision on improving state interactive services, optimization of functional and operational processes of the state bodies.

The programme is directed at developing ICT systems in Uzbekistan to improve interaction of population and businesses with the state bodies. The programme also includes measures on developing e-government.

The programme was adopted for further introducing ICT into life of the country and developing information resources, improving interactive services, etc.

Implementation of the projects will allow to create high technologic infrastructure in ICT to ensure high quality of interactive services to all consumers segments.

At the session, the commission considered primary measures on implementation of the programme and its projects, creation of systems and databases of the e-government.

The participants discussed issues related to formation of list of state services, development of their regulations and transfer to interactive form, including to the single portal of interactive state services (my.gov.uz).

It was noted that the state bodies should reconsider their business process and introduce ICT and software to improve their works and quality of services provided to population and businesses.

The session adopted decision to carry out inventory of the state services and create website of the commission to cover its activities, study experience of foreign states, including South Korea.
