The sides thoroughly considered wide range of issues of bilateral relations, including in political, trade-economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian spheres, the Uzbek ministry said.
It was said that both countries pay great attention to boosting inter-parliamentary contacts. It was said that the Uzbek side positively rates creation of Friendship Group “Canada-Uzbekistan” at House of Commons (lower house of Canadian parliament) in October 2012. It was said it is evidence for interest of Canadian legislators to deepen bilateral ties between two states.
Special attention was paid to current state and perspectives of development of mutual trade and investment cooperation. It was noted interest of the sides in institutilization of relations in this area, including through expanding legal framework.
The Uzbek side provided proposals to Canadian side on joint mutual beneficial projects in various sectors of economy of Uzbekistan, as well as in Navoi free industrial and economic zone and Angren special industrial zone, where unexampled conditions of doing business were provided for investors.
At the consultations, the sides also exchanged opinion on international and regional issues of mutual interest.
