Uzbekistan, Bulgaria hold political consultations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Bulgaria held political consultations on 16 November 2012 in Sofia. The consultations were held within the third session of the Uzbek-Bulgarian intergovernmental commission on economic and scientific-technical cooperation.

During the consultations, the sides considered actual issues of bilateral cooperation, including interaction in format of Uzbekistan and European Union and within international organizations. The sides noted mutual interest in boosting relations in various levels, inter-parliamentary contacts, deepening partnership relations between scientific and educational establishments of two states.

The sides expressed readiness to render diplomatic support to the results of the inter-governmental commission on economic and scientific-technical cooperation and business forum, which were held on 15-16 November 2012 in Sofia and was directed at discussing expansion of trade-economic and investment cooperation.

Uzbekistan and Bulgaria expressed interest in implementation of existing potential in diversification of nomenclature of goods and services in mutual trade, develop mutual beneficial projects in Navoi free industrial and economic zone and Angren special industrial zone, attracting private and public structures of two states to cooperation. The sides also exchanged opinion on regional and international issues.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Bulgaria Ulfat Kadirov participated at the consultations.
