Uzbekistan - Belarus: cooperation in the field of tourism is developing

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a video conference on the topic "Prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus in the field of tourism." 

It was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus, responsible persons of territorial main departments, as well as experts from non-governmental non-profit organizations operating in the tourism sector of the two countries.

During the conversation, First Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports Ulugbek Azamov discussed with foreign partners the tourism potential of the country and the development of tourism in the republic, measures of state support for the private sector during a pandemic, the conditions created for receiving tourists, the development of tourism infrastructure, logistics and diversification of tourism services ...

Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Belarus R. Nazarov highlighted the need to further expand cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism and the effective use of existing opportunities. 

Representatives of the General Administration for Tourism and Sports of Bukhara region made a presentation "The potential of pilgrim tourism on the example of the Bukhara region", and also provided information on investment projects to improve the state of infrastructure in the regions.

“One of the most important tasks facing us is the establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation, the fastest restoration of consumption of services in the field of tourism to the level of pre-pandemic tourist exchange,” said Mikhail Portnoy, Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus.
