Uzbekistan at WTE-Miami: Successful meetings to promote tourism

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  A delegation from Uzbekistan, which attended the World Travel EXPO (WTE-Miami) in Miami, Florida, held a series of productive meetings with leading representatives of the U.S. tourism industry.

The aim of these meetings was to broadly promote Uzbekistan’s tourism potential on the global stage and increase tourist inflow.

During negotiations with Karina Canto, the marketing and advertising coordinator of the Central American Tourism Agency (CATA), the parties discussed opportunities for joint promotion and raising awareness of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in the U.S. and Latin American countries using CATA’s resources.

At a meeting with José Joe Chi, the president of the "CAMACOL" tourism committee (Latin American Chamber of Commerce), and Jaime Rojas, the CEO and chairman, an agreement was reached to establish cooperation between Uzbek tour operators and CAMACOL members.

This cooperation plans to organize familiarization trips to Uzbekistan for leading Spanish-speaking media and travel bloggers from the U.S. and Latin America, as well as to hold annual meetings, conferences, and forums among CAMACOL members to position Uzbekistan as an attractive destination for business tourism (MICE).

During a meeting with Dovilė Kasparienė, the founder and director of "Kotus Wellness," issues concerning the development of sustainable "green" tourism in Uzbekistan were discussed. The "Kotus Wellness" company pledged to promote Uzbekistan on its official page and social media, as well as collaboratively develop "green" tourist routes.

With Manuel Clemente, the marketing director of Global Child "Travel & Purpose," topics of collaboration regarding the creation of a series about Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, its cultural heritage, gastronomy, and lifestyle were discussed.

Plans were also made to broadcast videos about Uzbekistan on major platforms in the U.S. and other countries.

The meeting with Andrés Morales, the director of strategic media cooperation at "INK Global," focused on targeted and digital promotion of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential on "INK Global" platforms.

It was decided to develop high-quality content to attract tourists from the U.S. and Latin America to Uzbekistan.

It is worth noting that Uzbekistan, making its debut at the "WTE-Miami," attracted hundreds of visitors and was recognized by specialists as the most appealing and dynamic pavilion.
