Uzbekistan Archeology Institute receives US$51,000 from Japan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Archeology Institute will receive US$51,000 grant from the Japan government to buy restoration equipment. The corresponding grant-contract was signed by ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan Tsutomu Hiraoka.

The grant was allocated within framework of the no-string aid on grass root cultural projects of the Japan government.

Uzbekistan Archeology Institute will use grant to buy restoration equipment - chemical reagents, laboratory furniture and equipment for studying archeological materials.

Tsutomu Hiraoka said that the aid will assist to improve restoration works, preservation and studying of cultural heritage in Uzbekistan.

Japan government has allocated US$5.5 million to 11 projects within the no-string aid on grass root cultural projects since 1994.
