Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of State for Financial Affairs of the UAE Mohamed bin Hadi Al Husseini held an online meeting with Jamshid Kuchkarov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the financial sector and explored areas of mutual interest for both countries, according to WAM.

Welcoming Kuchkarov, Al Husseini highlighted the strong bilateral ties between the UAE and Uzbekistan, as well as the progress Uzbekistan has made under its development strategy.

Both officials emphasized the importance of expanding financial partnerships following the successful visit of an Uzbek government delegation to the UAE Ministry of Finance in November of last year. This visit was part of the "Financial Leadership Program," aimed at exchanging expertise and knowledge in the fields of finance, banking, and investment.

Al Husseini expressed interest in further strengthening financial relations with Uzbekistan, underscoring the importance of cooperation to drive growth and prosperity in both countries.

He also praised Uzbekistan’s success in public-private partnership programs and expressed hope for further progress through closer cooperation, as well as continued exploration of new opportunities for sustainable development in both countries.
