Uzbekistan and Türkiye sign a number of documents

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 June, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov participated in several events in Ankara as part of the third meeting of the Uzbek-Turkish High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. These events took place on the eve of the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Türkiye.

During the Uzbek-Turkish business forum, Laziz Kudratov held negotiations with the heads of such large Turkish companies as Onur Group, IC Ictas Insaat, YDA Group, Rönesans Holding, Ostim, Doğan Holding, Aksa Energy, Çalık Holding, Akfen Holding, Yildiz Group and other.

As a result of a fruitful exchange of views, agreements were concluded on the implementation of projects in the fields of agriculture, healthcare, textile industry, geology, electrical engineering, pharmaceuticals, leather and footwear production, construction and energy.

Laziz Kudratov also took part in the plenary session of the forum, where more than 100 representatives of the business community, as well as heads of ministries, departments and industry associations of the two countries discussed the current state and prospects of economic cooperation. In B2B and G2B formats, current partnership issues were discussed and new business contacts were established.

On the sidelines of the forum, a ceremony was held for signing investment agreements and trade contracts, as well as a tour of the Invest in Uzbekistan exhibition, organized in the building of the Association of Chambers of Commerce and Trade Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).

At the end of the events, company leaders and long-time partners of Uzbekistan highly appreciated the country’s efforts to improve the investment climate and create favorable conditions for investors. They expressed their readiness to further develop investment and trade interaction with Uzbek partners.
