Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 January, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Otabek Fazilkarimov, held a meeting with representatives of the healthcare system of Sakarya Province (Türkiye).
The meeting focused on the reform of the healthcare system, the improvement of its financing, the implementation of digital technologies, and the exchange of experiences in these areas.
The Turkish side shared their experience in healthcare digitization, the introduction of a health insurance system, coding of medical services, provision of medications, and their control.
In particular, the effective mechanisms for improving financial management in healthcare, online monitoring of the need for medicines, and the further development of the medical insurance system were discussed.
The Uzbek side supported the initiative to study the Turkish experience and its application in the process of improving the financing and management of the healthcare system in Uzbekistan.
Special attention was given to the rational use of allocated funds to improve the quality of healthcare services.
Furthermore, during the discussions, the importance of accelerating digitization, including online monitoring of hospital data, forecasting and controlling the need for medicines, and ensuring data exchange, was highlighted.
Such an approach helps optimize the management of the healthcare system and enhance the effectiveness of resource utilization.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed on the implementation of joint initiatives in healthcare and the development of systemic cooperation in this area.
