Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting dedicated to the "Country Platform," a mechanism coordinating Uzbekistan’s interaction with international development partners, took place at the Agency for Strategic Reforms (ASR).
The meeting was attended by ASR Director Bakhtiyor Rakhmatov, European Union Ambassador Toivo Klaar, and the project manager for the "Country Platform," Jana Kurpisa.
The parties discussed the further development of the platform, paying particular attention to attracting international experts and preparing for the 4th meeting of the "Country Platform," scheduled for December 2024.
Ambassador Klaar expressed the EU’s readiness to provide comprehensive support to Uzbekistan in achieving sustainable development goals. Bakhtiyor Rakhmatov emphasized the importance of cooperation with the EU and noted that such meetings are key steps towards implementing long-term reforms aimed at modernizing the economy and improving the quality of life.
The ambassador also highlighted the significance of active participation by Uzbekistan’s ministries and agencies in implementing projects, noting that the successful realization of initiatives under the "Country Platform" requires close coordination among government structures.
In the near future, a series of consultations will be held to identify specific steps for implementing the discussed initiatives and ensuring the further success of the "Country Platform."
