Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan is strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in the agricultural sector with member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This was stated by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov at the plenary session dedicated to “Food security of the Eurasian Economic Union.”
The delegation of Uzbekistan, led by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, takes part in a meeting of the intergovernmental council of the Eurasian Economic Union in Belarus. Uzbekistan is an observer in this organization.
Abdulla Aripov emphasized that systemic interaction has been established with the Eurasian Economic Union, especially in the field of agro-industrial cooperation. This includes mutual supplies, joint production of agricultural products, the development of “green corridors” for trade, as well as joint scientific and applied research and the introduction of innovations in agriculture.
He also noted that Uzbekistan is ready to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of food security within the framework of its status as an observer state in the Eurasian Economic Union.
