Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 7 February, Timur Khusanov, Director of the Department for Analysis, Support, and Coordination of State Policy in Small and Medium Business Development at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan, held talks with Alan Yeo, Director for Europe and Central Asia at Singapore Cooperation Enterprise.

The meeting focused on key areas of cooperation, including Uzbekistan’s Small and Medium Business (SMB) Development Strategy until 2030, the formation of an innovation ecosystem, and startup support programs.

Special emphasis was placed on the implementation of IT solutions, green economy technologies, and water conservation practices, along with measures to improve Uzbekistan’s business environment.

A separate topic of discussion was the launch of a unified digital portal for entrepreneurs, designed to streamline administrative processes and facilitate business access to government services.

An important aspect of the talks was the study of international best practices, particularly Singapore’s successful approaches in these areas.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation and exchange expertise to further improve the business climate in Uzbekistan.
