Uzbekistan and Portugal Strengthen Partnership in Education, Tourism, and Culture
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, met with Ana Isabel Xavier, State Secretary of Portugal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
During the meeting, Ana Isabel Xavier praised the pace of Uzbekistan’s investment development and expressed Portugal’s readiness to support the further expansion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The parties paid special attention to enhancing collaboration in education, tourism, and culture, as well as developing interregional ties. Portugal was noted as one of Uzbekistan’s key partners within the European Union.
Both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in strengthening reciprocal support in international organizations and agreed to maintain active dialogue across all areas of cooperation.
