Tashkenth, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan Amirsaid Agzamkhodjaev met with Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Poland Pavel Gancarz, Dunyo news agency reported.

It was noted at the meeting that the opening of direct flights by LOT Polish Airlines in March of this year on the Warsaw-Tashkent-Warsaw route is of great importance for the further development of economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the results of the visit to Poland of a delegation led by the head of the Transport Supervision Inspectorate under the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan, which took place in April this year in order to study tachograph devices and their information system.

The parties also discussed prospects for further strengthening mutual cooperation in the field of transport and logistics.

An exchange of views took place regarding the holding of the next meeting of the Uzbek-Polish Joint Commission on International Passenger and Freight Transport in Warsaw, as well as the participation of representatives of the ministry in the next meeting of the Uzbek-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Issues.
