Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 14 March, the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan held meetings between local and Polish tour operators to discuss expanding cooperation.
Representatives of Uzbekistan presented information about the country’s tourism potential and opportunities for foreign travel companies. Particular attention is paid to the development of infrastructure, the creation of new facilities and the protection of historical monuments.
Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, Sardor Niyazov, expressed his intention to strengthen cooperation with Poland in the field of tourism.
Deputy Director of LOT Polish Airlines Rafat Kempski expressed hope for establishing closer ties between the Uzbek and Polish tourism businesses.
Polish tour operators arrived in Uzbekistan on the first direct flight of LOT Polish Airlines.
Tomorrow they will visit Samarkand to get acquainted with tourism changes and launch the promotional campaign “Samarkand - the tourist gate of New Uzbekistan” in Poland.
