Uzbekistan and Latvia Hold Business Forum in Riga to Boost Trade and Investment Ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Riga hosted the Uzbekistan–Latvia Business Forum along with a series of B2B meetings, bringing together government officials, major companies, and business representatives from both countries. The event was organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Latvia.
Dilshod Rasulov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, delivered a speech highlighting the steady development of trade and economic cooperation between the two nations. He noted the implementation of several joint projects in recent years across logistics, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, education, the textile industry, and tourism.
Particular emphasis was placed on the role of the Uzbekistan Trade House operating in Riga, which plays a key part in strengthening trade and logistics ties between the two countries.
Forum participants were presented with an overview of Uzbekistan’s economic reforms, investment climate, export potential, and bilateral trade indicators.
The practical part of the forum featured B2B meetings between Uzbek and Latvian entrepreneurs, where discussions focused on new export and import opportunities and a number of contracts were reviewed.
