Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan expand oil and gas cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan held talks in Tashkent on expanding cooperation in the oil and gas sector and petrochemicals on the sidelines of the international exhibition and conference “Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan — OGU 2026.”

The meeting included representatives of Uzbekneftegaz, as well as Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas and KMG PetroChem companies.

The sides discussed the current status of joint projects and the next stages of their implementation.

Special attention was given to practical steps to advance previously agreed initiatives and to strengthen cooperation in hydrocarbon processing and the development of the petrochemical sector.

Following the talks, both sides confirmed their interest in further expanding their partnership and expressed readiness to consistently develop joint projects in the energy sector.
