Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the Committee on Tourism Umid Shadiev met with Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Yerkinbayev. The talks were held within the framework of the forum "Shanghai Cooperation Organization 2023 - Year of Tourism" held in Urumqi.

The parties discussed activities and projects aimed at increasing tourist flow between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in 2024. In particular, it was decided to develop specific proposals on participation in major international exhibitions called "Silk Road" with a unified stand.

Also, taking into account the fact that ski tourism is developing in the two countries, it was agreed to hold "tourism days" at the Uzbek Amirsoy resort  and Kazakh Shymbulak resorts.
