Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Ibrahim Abdurakhmonov, met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Italy to Uzbekistan, Pergabriele Papadia de Bottini di Sant’Anese.
The meeting focused on expanding bilateral cooperation and implementing new promising projects.
The Minister highly praised the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy, particularly in the field of agriculture, noting the successful exchange of experiences and the established student exchange system in agricultural education.
The parties also discussed the exchange of experiences in combating climate change, plans for training Uzbek specialists in Italy to implement Italian standards in Uzbekistan’s agriculture. Joint projects to introduce Italian agricultural practices into Uzbekistan were also considered.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Ibrahim Abdurakhmonov awarded Marco Farci, a member of the Board of the Italo-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, the "Honored Worker of Agriculture" badge for his contributions to the development of Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector.
