Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 July, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Israel, as part of attracting the best practices of this country in the field of start-ups and the innovation ecosystem, organized an online meeting with the participation of the Managing Director of the Israeli division of the leading American acceleration company Techstars Guy Israel, Dunyo news agency reported.

In his presentation, Guy Israeli spoke in detail about the activities of the company. To date, the company has raised investments in more than 3,500 startup projects and is one of the largest startup seed investors in the world, he said.

The meeting was attended by over 70 republican specialized organizations, including representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Agency for Innovative Development, the Agency for Specialized Educational Institutions under the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the New Uzbekistan University.

A number of agreements were reached during the meeting. The agenda topics included the development of targeted cooperation projects with the participation of Techstars, the Agency for Innovative Development, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the National Venture Fund, IT Park, the Republican Center for Youth Entrepreneurship Support, New Uzbekistan University, as well as holding regular online meetings with the participation of innovative companies of the two countries.
