Uzbekistan and Indonesia hold fifth round of political consultations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Indonesia held the fifth round of political consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers in Tashkent.

Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan said the sides considered current state and perspectives of bilateral cooperation development in politics, trade-economic and scientific-technical spheres.

The sides also exchanged actual issues of international and regional character, including situation in Central and Southern-Eastern Asia, in Afghanistan, perspectives of interaction within the international organizations as the SCO, ASEAN and OIC.

The sides focused on issues of further boosting cooperation in investment and banking spheres, information-communication technologies, education and tourism, as well as strengthening existing legal base.

Taking into account similar historic, cultural and religious peculiarity of Banda Aceh and Samarkand city, the sides agreed to unite their potential for well-being of people and establish partnership relations between two cities.

In the result of negotiations, the sides signed protocol of the fifth round of bilateral political consultations between Uzbekistan and Indonesia, and memorandum of understanding between Higher Business School of Uzbekistan and National Institute of Public Administration of Indonesia.

The sides agreed to hold next round of consultations between Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Indonesia in Jakarta in 2011.
