Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 6 May 2025, a meeting took place at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan between officials from the Department of Public Budget Policy and a delegation from Indonesia, headed by Mr. Muhiddin Muhammad Said, Deputy Chairman of the Budget Committee of the House of Representatives of the Indonesian Parliament.

During the meeting, the Indonesian side expressed deep interest in Uzbekistan’s experience in public financial management, tax administration, and reforms in the budget system.

Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance provided a detailed overview of the structure of the state budget, the processes of fund allocation, and measures aimed at improving transparency and the efficiency of budgetary procedures.

Special attention was given to key macroeconomic indicators, fiscal policy, and the current priorities in the socio-economic development of Uzbekistan.

At the end of the negotiations, both sides expressed their readiness to further deepen cooperation. A decision was made to engage in mutual exchange of experiences in public financial management to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
