Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  During his visit to Kazan, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The meeting focused on ways to further expand the strategic partnership and multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and India.

Special attention was given to joint programs and projects in high technologies, artificial intelligence, industry, energy, pharmaceuticals, and transport communications.

The parties agreed to hold the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and a business forum this year, as well as to adopt a medium-term program for industrial cooperation.

Additionally, they proposed to organize mutual Days of Culture and Cinema, as well as conduct joint events in the fields of medicine, sports, and youth policy, including interaction between youth parliamentary organizations.

The leaders also discussed the schedule of upcoming high-level events.
