Uzbekistan and India Discuss Prospects for Cooperation in the Coal Industry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 July 2025, a meeting took place between Ural Yusupov, Deputy Minister of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan, and a delegation from India’s Ministry of Coal led by Rupinder Brar.
During the talks, the Indian side was briefed on the current state and development priorities of Uzbekistan’s coal sector, as well as on efforts to create favorable conditions for investors, including the allocation of subsoil plots through transparent and competitive mechanisms.
The two sides also discussed the prospects of attracting Indian investment for coal industry projects and expressed mutual interest in further strengthening bilateral cooperation in this field.
