Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Chairman of the Committee for Tourism, Umid Shadiev, held a meeting with the Charge d'Affaires of Georgia, Davit Kotaria, to discuss the current state and prospects of tourism cooperation between Uzbekistan and Georgia.
The Georgian side was presented with the results of tourism reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years, as well as measures aimed at attracting more tourists and plans for further development in this sector. The discussion emphasized the importance of increasing the flow of tourists from Georgia to Uzbekistan.
The parties agreed to strengthen collaboration within tourism promotion events organized in both countries and improve tourism infrastructure, creating attractive conditions for tourists, investors, and business communities. Additionally, it was decided to exchange experiences accumulated in both countries in this field.
